Thoughts from the third floor

I'm currently sitting in a study room in the library that overlooks the law school fountain. It's a cold, gray day, and everyone on campus is "peacing out" for Thanksgiving. I'm working on some papers before I peace out myself ("working on papers" = facebook, iTunes, reading your blog, etc.). For some reason, I'm feeling unusually pensive today.
So what is on my mind? Several things:

1) The Great Eggo Ration of 2009. Bought a family pack last night, but I'm not sure how long it will last. I hope America will band together during this time. We need each other now more than ever. And I need you to not buy Eggos so I can have them all.

2) Susan Boyle's new album release. Songs include "How Great Thou Art" and "I Dreamed a Dream." God bless her. Seriously.

3) Just watched John Mayer's "Who Says" video. My heart really goes out to this kid. I feel like the world has stolen so much of his happiness. I just want to give him a hug and then tell him to shower. Or maybe I would tell him to shower before I gave him a hug.

4) I just bought two packs of Snack Wells Devil's Food Cake Cookies and a Diet Coke from the food court. For my lunch. When the cashier saw this, he told me he had a heart attack last month, and I shouldn't be eating like this. I laughed, and then cried.

5) What am I going to do with my life? Sara Groves sums up how I feel pretty nicely. I think she reads my journal:

From this one place I can't see very far.

In this one moment I'm square in the dark.

These are the things I will trust in my heart:

You can see something else, something else.

Well said, Sara.

What else am I thinking? Well, I'm really looking forwa..... oh... hold on.... cute law students spotted outside. Gotta go.
