updates

As I told you in an earlier post, I had my wisdom teeth removed last Thursday. While it wasn't a particularly enjoyable experience, I did make it out alive (but only by the skin of my teeth. ha.). I had a jolly good time with the anesthesia and subsequent pain medication. It is rumored that I did the following things while coming out of sedation:

told my mother she had four eyes
blew kisses at my dog
shouted expletives at the birds that were defecating on my car (more on this later)
tried to run
said "uh oh" a lot
did a few yoga moves
stripped off my clothes and sang a couple of Phil Collins songs. ok, this one isn't real. but I wouldn't put it past me.

I'm feeling great now, but there were a few days that I didn't think I would be able to eat a cheeseburger again. Talk about a SCARY time in my life.

In other news, I would like to inform everyone that I have decided to purchase the Croc boots (refer to previous post). I think they would be the wisest purchase, since they can also be used as rain boots. And as my cousin pointed out, they would look fab with Nike track shorts. Thanks, Brooke!

Lastly, there is a very entertaining video that documented my post-sedation antics. In fact, it is so entertaining, that I refuse to release it to the public. But if we are close enough friends, I might let you view this priceless piece of cinematography. Or you can pay me $50 to see it. Or buy me the holiday Crocs.

crikey!

As the bitter cold melted into a sweltering 58 degrees today, I started to dream about the promise of spring, and all of the new fashions that accompany the season.

I've been considering buying a pair of Crocs from the new collection, but I just can't decide which ones...

Of course these aren't a part of the Spring 2010 collection, but I am still in love with these festive holiday Crocs with the fabulous wool lining. I'm just heartbroken that Christmas is over and I can't wear them to all of the parties. However, I could always purchase some Valentine's charms!

I almost wept for joy when I discovered these beauties. I can already picture them with my skinny jeans tucked in and an oversized Ed Hardy sweatshirt. So cute!!!

Now if this isn't the most fabulous invention ever, then I don't know what is. How practical are these?! It's footwear, a cell phone holder and a fashion statement all in one. And I just adore the belt loop. I can't wait to wear this on campus and whip out my caf card in style. It also provides easy access to my cell phone for when situations get awkward.

Here's another picture so you can get the full effect:

Looks like I've got a lot of choices to make. I'm hoping to do a lot more babysitting so I can maybe get them all!

**On a completely unrelated note, I. LOVE. LORTABS. Actually, this pain medication may have everything to do with this post.

I'm having my wisdom teeth taken out on Thursday.

And this is how I feel about it:

My family has always been big on forts....

but I was a little surprised to find this in my backyard last week:

Or really good homeless people.

breathe in, breathe out

yeah... this is me. photo credit: about.com.

I start a yoga class in the morning. Don't be impressed-- it's required for school. But I am looking forward to it nonetheless.

Surprisingly, I've had good experiences with yoga/aerobics in my lifetime. I have fond memories of watching my mother exercise to this little gem:

Watch this. You won't regret it. Yes, she actually did this. And yes, we gave her a hard time about it. Still do.

While my mother worked on her facial muscles, I remember having some pretty impressive videos of my own. Enter: Dance Workout with Barbie. My parents will argue that I would often forgo the actual workout to just sit down and watch.

I disagree.

I distinctly remember doing the "hide and seek" move while being jealous of all of the girls that got to be on the video. And their clothes, of course. I also remember wondering why Barbie's mouth didn't move when she talked. Still confused about that, actually.

As cutting-edge as these videos were for their time, I'm hoping tomorrow's class will be a little less creepy, and hopefully more effective.

If all else fails, I'm getting the Ab Circle.
